ABOUT US & BLUE SALT

BLUE SALT STUDIO is founded by photographer Ghazalle Badiozamani and prop stylist Maeve Sheridan.

Having watched the number of kitchen studios in Manhattan dwindle in recent years, we aimed to design a thoughtful food and lifestyle shooting space for our peers. We founded the studio to serve the good people of the food photography industry and hope to cultivate a meaningful experience for all.

Blue Salt is one of the rarest and oldest salts on the planet. It is also incredibly rich in flavor and slightly sweet … just like us. (And just like your BLUE SALT shooting experience).

 

Photographer Ghazalle Badiozamani brings her 20 years of experience in the commercial photography industry to all her endeavors. She shares her love of food, family and community through her images and always strives to bring out the natural beauty in everything she photographs. She enjoys the precision of her packaging shoots just as much as the looseness of her editorial shoots. Her father’s daughter, she will be quick to remind you that Blue Salt is Persian.

Prop stylist Maeve Sheridan found her niche a long while ago in the commercial food photography world. She is primarily tabletop specific and has an affinity for making cookbooks come to life. She has curated a collection of props and surfaces exclusive to BLUE SALT to enhance the already awesome experience of shooting here. Maeve is so happy about this new endeavor and thrilled to have you in the studio.
